OVERVIEW

The Institution aims to enhance the admissions process for students, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience

MY ROL

As a Lead of this project, I was responsible for understanding the business needs and designing the roadmap accordingly, as well as overseeing the overall experience strategy and website design.

I led the UX efforts, which included designing and moderating workshops with stakeholders to align their voices with user needs. Additionally, I redesigned the Information Architecture and provided mentorship to my team throughout the project. During this period, I collaborated closely with a junior UX Designer and a UI Designer to achieve our objectives.

Key Findings

Through 1-1 interviews combined with usability testing with various students and parents, we found that locating and understanding relevant information about the academic offerings was a challenge, which significantly influenced their decision to enroll.

Of the 37 participants we invited to the study, none were able to understand how to start their admission process; the site's labeling and navigation did not allow for understanding this process.

THE CHALLENGE

Our challenge was understanding why students and parents encountered various issues in comprehending the admissions process.

Business Hypotheses
  • Information overload.

  • Irrelevant information.

  • The information of the process is not easy to find.

  • Information is not well-connected.
