OVERVIEW
Finkargo is a fintech company that provides financial solutions to Colombian and Mexican exporters, helping them drive business growth.
Given that their process involves multiple stakeholders, they aim to assess their current service and explore the development of a SaaS platform that would enable them to scale operations and tailor their portfolio to the real needs of their clients and prospects.
MY ROL
Lead the project, gain a deep understanding of Finkargo’s business to guide the research strategy, and mentor a team of two junior researchers in the implementation of research instruments.
THE CHALLENGE
Understand the specific characteristics of the Mexican and Colombian markets to optimize their current financing service and explore new ideas that drive innovation and diversify their portfolio.

We designed a product tailored to the specific needs of Mexican and Colombian exporters, aiming to drive Finkargo’s growth through new business units. This product seeks to increase the average service consumption ticket within the export industry.

KEY FINDINGS
Through several 1-1 interviews combined with usability testing with exporting business professionals, we identified opportunities to regionalize and adapt the financing product, considering the specific terms and processes of each country.
Regarding scaling, opportunities for innovation were discovered through a SaaS platform that would provide comprehensive services to all industry stakeholders. This solution would cover everything from sourcing import suppliers to fully managing the export process.
